One of the islands was inhabited by monkeys. With Lipe’s the increased tourist popularity, many snorkeling tours go to this island now and the tourists feed the wild monkeys. Some of the bolder monkeys like this one even swim over to the boats to grab food from the tourists.

Monkeys that are used to being fed by humans can become aggressive and stop looking for their own food, but people do it anyways.

  When you travel to Taiping, it is not necessary for you to dine in a air conditioning restaurant for seafood dinner, the better choice is to try the local Malaysian foods in a famous hawker center , the one place that's always crowded is the Larut Matang Hawker Centre .  There are Malay, Chinese and Indian food for you. Please come with empty stomach and enjoy eating , for those who know Taiping, They call it “Cai Chi” (Hokkien).
