Taman Sahabat (Friendship Park), Kuching Sarawak


Hey everyone! today I’m spending a calm afternoon here at Taman Sahabat Kuching, also known as Friendship Park. It’s one of the prettiest parks in Kuching filled with ponds, bridges, and peaceful vibes and just beside it, there’s one of my favourite tea spots, CHAGEE! 🍵 So let’s take a slow walk, soak in the scenery, and end the day with a refreshing cup of milk tea.
Taman Sahabat was built to celebrate the friendship between Malaysia and China, and you can really feel the influence in its design from the red pavilion to the moon gate and Chinese-style bridge.”



It’s a favourite spot for evening walks, family outings, and even photoshoots. The air is calm, the sound of water is relaxing it’s the perfect place to slow down and enjoy a little peace.


At the heart of the park, there’s the Friendship Monument a reminder of unity and connection between Malaysia and China. It’s simple, yet meaningful and standing here, you really feel the cultural blend that makes Kuching so unique.


And right across from the park the perfect place to chill after your walk CHAGEE Kuching! Let’s go grab a drink.

I love how both spots complement each other, you’ve got calm nature at Taman Sahabat, and right next door, this cozy tea café to unwind and recharge. It’s like a little escape in the middle of Kuching.

So that’s my mini Kuching afternoon a peaceful walk at Taman Sahabat and a relaxing tea session at CHAGEE. If you’re ever looking for somewhere calm, photogenic, and perfect for a tea break this combo is a must-visit!

Larut Matang Food Court , Taiping

  When you travel to Taiping, it is not necessary for you to dine in a air conditioning restaurant for seafood dinner, the better choice is to try the local Malaysian foods in a famous hawker center , the one place that's always crowded is the Larut Matang Hawker Centre .  There are Malay, Chinese and Indian food for you. Please come with empty stomach and enjoy eating , for those who know Taiping, They call it “Cai Chi” (Hokkien). Many of us call it “Downstair of Larut Matang” also, it’s just opposite to Taiping Jaya Supermarket . Larut Matang Food Court located at Jalan Panggung Wayang is probably the best place to hunt for hawkers' food during the day time .
