Today we’re exploring one of the hidden gems in Kota Kinabalu, Tanjung Rhu. It’s peaceful, windy, super relaxing, and honestly one of the best spots to enjoy the sea breeze and sunset. So let’s go check it out!

Okay look at this view! The moment you arrive, you get this calm, open coastline, waves gently hitting the shore, and almost no crowd at all. Perfect for chilling, thinking, walking or just taking a break from the city. What I love about Tanjung Rhu is that it feels very raw and natural. You’ve got stretches of beach, driftwood, mangroves, and a beautiful horizon. Simple, but so beautiful.

If you’re visiting, you can just walk around the shoreline, take photos, enjoy the breeze, or even have a small picnic. Some people come here to just sit by the rocks and watch the waves—super therapeutic. And if you come during golden hour wow. The sky here turns orange, purple, and pink. The reflection on the water makes it even more magical. Sabah sunsets never miss, and Tanjung Rhu is one of the best places to enjoy it quietly.



This place feels like a little escape. No noise, no rush. Just wind, sea, and nature. If you’re in KK and you want a peaceful spot to unwind, Tanjung Rhu should definitely be on your list.

Larut Matang Food Court , Taiping

  When you travel to Taiping, it is not necessary for you to dine in a air conditioning restaurant for seafood dinner, the better choice is to try the local Malaysian foods in a famous hawker center , the one place that's always crowded is the Larut Matang Hawker Centre .  There are Malay, Chinese and Indian food for you. Please come with empty stomach and enjoy eating , for those who know Taiping, They call it “Cai Chi” (Hokkien). Many of us call it “Downstair of Larut Matang” also, it’s just opposite to Taiping Jaya Supermarket . Larut Matang Food Court located at Jalan Panggung Wayang is probably the best place to hunt for hawkers' food during the day time .
