Hey guys! Today I’m at Hock Kee Kopitiam, one of the popular kopitiam spots that everyone has been talking about! 👀 If you love local Malaysian breakfast and traditional coffee shop vibes, this place might be your next go-to. Let’s check it out!
The moment I walked in, I really love the classic kopitiam atmosphere – simple tables, cozy setting, and that nostalgic local coffee aroma in the air ☕️ It feels like a modern kopitiam but still keeping the traditional touch.
Time to order! They have so many local favourites here – from nasi lemak, curry mee, kaya butter toast, half-boiled eggs, and of course their signature kopi. Honestly, I feel like ordering everything!
Okay, food is here! Let’s start with the nasi lemak. The sambal looks rich and spicy, the rice smells so fragrant. Pair it with crispy anchovies and peanuts – this is comfort food at its best.
Next, we have the kaya butter toast. Look at that thick slab of butter and kaya! Crispy outside, soft inside – dip it into half-boiled eggs with a bit of soy sauce and pepper… Wah, perfect Malaysian breakfast combo!
And of course, their kopi. Smooth, aromatic, not too bitter – just the right balance. If you’re a coffee lover, this one won’t disappoint.
Mmmm… okay this sambal got kick! 🌶️ The rice is fluffy and fragrant. The toast is super crispy – I love that buttery and sweet kaya combination. Simple food but done right.
Price-wise, it’s quite reasonable for the portion and quality. Definitely a good place for breakfast, brunch, or even tea time with friends and family.
You can see the place is quite lively. Good for casual meet-ups, family breakfast, or even solo coffee time.
If you’re a fan of kopitiam-style food, you should definitely try Hock Kee Kopitiam. Sometimes simple local food is the most satisfying one ❤️
